let’s pretend

(dress: Kohls, belt: Kohls, sandals: Old Navy)
Where’s the front of the dress?  Or perhaps, my head?  Good questions.
They will not be making an appearance today.
Sometimes outfit pictures happen and sometimes they don’t.  Now that it’s summer and Chris is working, they really don’t.  But this was one night after work as we headed to dinner.  The sun was too bright and I might have just woken up from a nap so what I thought would be okay pictures were not.  Not even close, actually.
So instead, you get sandals.  And the back of my dress which is the whole reason I bought it.  And then went back and bought the salmon one also.  (Also, I could not make it all of June without shopping.  I thought I was going to die.  I made it twelve days.  It was the most horrible twelve days of my life.)
This comfy and lightweight cotton dress will be getting a lot of wear in the next few months.  Also, it has a mullet cut, but not too severe.  I’m not sure I dig the whole business in front, party in the back trend right now, but this dress only does it very slightly.  Maybe only two or three inch difference from front to back, so I can live with it.
Know what I can’t live with?  That I just showed the world my feet.
Ugh, I hate feet.

Disclaimer . . . if you are a 5’4″ Asian . . . this gorgeous peacock blue frock will look crazy on you . . . and the mullet dress . . . no, don’t do it . . . don’t be tricked by Mary’s fly modeling of this cute outfit . . . it will not be as cute on you as it is on her . . . Mary is like 5’9″ or something like that in real life . . . she is super model height . . . it will make you look cray cray (middle school speak for crazy x’s 10). HOWEVER, (Mary, this will make you happy) I found a t-shirt in this color and paired it with red skinny jean capris . . . paying homage to the cute red belt . . . the tee is mulletish . . . but cute as a shirt on my 5’4″ STOCKY Asian frame . . . I am wearing my yellow wedges with it too! Wham Bam . . . Thank Ya, Mary . . . From PAM!

That is some crazy talk right there. I’m 5’11”. Did you get the red cropped skinnies at Kohls too? The Vera Wang ones?? Because I bought them and haven’t had the courage to wear them yet. And with the yellow wedges? LOVE.
