copycat linkup {6}

I’m really trying to not just rely on Pinterest for my copycat linkup posts…but that is really hard, guys!  There’s just so much to do and try and wear on Pinterest that I could just stick with my outfit board and never run out of ideas.

But I truly am trying to think outside the box board so today’s copycat look comes from my email.  I got a J. Crew ad with a coupon attached and thought the look was easy to do with pieces I already had in my closet.

The only problem is it’s basketball season so right after school I change into workout clothes and don’t have the opportunity to take any outfit pics.  So this one is just the layering part, which is what I liked so much about this photo.

I took a black knit dress, layered it with a chambray button down, wore black knit tights, and brown boots.  This one could easily be copied by anyone.

(knit dress & button down: Kohls, necklace: Target)

I just couldn’t pull off the bow tie.  Major props if you can.  (Extra credit if you noticed that this is the second copycat linkup post where my inspiration photo featured a bow tie.)

Now it’s your turn, show us your copycat style!

We’re excited to have Jessa from Life of a Sports Wife as our co-host this week. This girl loves her hubby and her sports–make sure you stop by and check her out!

The rules are simple:

    If I wore a bow tie it would be covered by my meat necklace (double chin) hanging over it.
