scarves are for thinking.

(leggings & socks: Vera Wang for Kohls, flannel shirt: H&M, scarf & boots: Target, watch: Kohls, bangles: various)
I don’t have much to say on this Monday.
Obviously, I must be coming down with something because I can always think of something to say. It’s a gift, really.
But sometimes I just long for quiet–in my house, in my head, in my classroom, in my soul–and today is one of those days.
I’m sorting out lessons I’m learning, deciding what to do with new knowledge, wishing for sleep, and somewhat restless.
Recently, I’ve been catching myself wishing for the next thing: the next season to start, the next month to get here, the next phase to begin.
And I’m missing things that matter.
I’m working on pausing, on slowing down.
But I’ve got lots of committments and it’s taking more time than I would like.
So today I just want silence for thinking.
And I’m sure that shouldn’t be a problem with the 93 seventh graders I’ll be spending the day with.
Happy Monday, friends.

I’m working on that too! I’m always thinking about what is next and fall to live in the moment! (I love your scarf!)

I love these posts. Most fashion bloggers wear things I would never dream of wearing but your outfits are always cute and realistic!

I have this scarf and I like the way you mixed it with another print. Will be shamelessly copying! I need to learn how to tie this chunky scarf too! Thanks for the inspiration!

Cute scarf – I love the way you mixed it with a print! I know what you mean about slowing down… that’s something I want to work on too!
