Actually, that’s not true. I started out with some majorly teased bangs and was going to wear my hair pulled back into a messy bun with poofed up front.
But my hair plans never work and I couldn’t get my bun to look right.
(Am I the only one who has a horrible time making a messy bun look messy? You’d think it be easy for goodness sake.)
So then I tried to pull half my hair up and it kept making me look like I was twelve.
By this point, I’m officially late to work again so I pull the top half into a messy bun that obviously didn’t make it through the day in one piece. Now, it’s actually kind of snake-like if you look closely.
So these pictures of my hair, taken at 5:00 on a Friday afternoon, could sum up my day well: good intentions, glad I made it through, but what a mess.
Actually, let’s just go ahead and plan for those words to be on my headstone, they are more than fitting.

I like your hair! And your outfit is adorable!
Love the top! 🙂 And I think your hair looks just fine.
I think your hair looks cute! But I’m with you – I love hairstyles with the word “messy” in them, seem harder to do than anything else 🙂
I think your hair looks great! But I know what you mean. I have a hard time getting my hair to do what I want, too. Have you tried spin pins? They’re my go-to for a semi-messy bun.
I wrote out a really thoughtful comment on my phone and it wouldn’t post and then by the time I got to my computer to retype it out, I lost all enthusiasm so I will just leave you with I love that print and those shoes!
I hope you are having a great week!

I think your hair looks great. It is so long and pretty!
The colors on that dress are fabulous.
If I try to make a messy bun, it always comes out horrible. However, when I throw it up because I need to get my hair out of my face, it is fabulous. So I stop trying to make my hair be something other than it wants to be.
