(Harper’s swimsuit: Target, swim diaper: Huggies Little Swimmers, cute baby belly: genetics)
I don’t mean to be a snob, but nothing ruins a picnic faster than someone peeing on the table.
Trust me on this.
Since I have summers off, the girls and I spend many hours at our gym. I get a workout in (two hours of free childcare–holla!), then we picnic in the shade, and spend the rest of the afternoon swimming ourselves into exhaustion. Exhaustion normally sets in around 2:00 because, hello, naps.
So last summer we were all decked out in swimsuits and Harper, then one and a half, was sitting on the picnic table top as I set out lunch. None of us were wet because we had not gone swimming yet, but suddenly, there was a nice puddle on the table and it spread right into our lunch before I noticed.
“Uh oh,” said Harper.
I said the adult version of “uh oh” in my head as my daughter’s expensive swim diaper, which wasn’t even wet yet, had leaked pee all over our lunch. What a party pooper pee-er.
Needless to say, it was the last time I used those swim diapers. And since that fateful you-peed-on-my-lunch! day, I’ve been loyal to Huggies Little Swimmers. They work hard to keep the pee in its place and we haven’t ruined a picnic since we switched. Which is a total win in my book.
It’s summer again (I’m sure you probably noticed…) so we’re spending all our days at the pool and life is good. Harper is two and a half now and she’s not potty trained yet so we’re rockin’ the Huggies Little Swimmers with complete confidence. With my first baby, I learned two important things: one, that expensive doesn’t always mean best (this applies to more things than I can count), and two, babies grow up too fast. So while I was in a rush to potty train Elliott, I’m just fine with Harper not having it figured out yet. Because she’s my last baby and while I’m mostly okay with that, this is the last “baby” thing we do and I don’t want to give it up yet goshdarnit.
Truthfully, it’s just easier for her to be in diapers right now too and I’m a little lazy. But mostly it’s because she’s my last baby.
With all the swimming we’re doing, we are going through the Little Swimmers pretty fast in our house and so I am more than a little excited to share this coupon for $1.50 off Huggies Little Swimmers at Target with you.
(You can also share it with friends–don’t be stingy with this deal!)
Because, really, it comes down to whether you want to pee on a picnic table or not.
I think we all know the right answer here. So grab that coupon and head to Target.
Pin this and share the love!
What a CUTIE!
