2013 was fun. Not always easy, but good. More light than dark. More laughing than crying.
It started out rough with a little Graham baby that we never met, but it went uphill from there. I still think about what would have been more than I’d ever admit, but I get it. A year later, I see more glimpses of the bigger picture, God’s plan for us, and I understand some. Just enough to have a little peace and comfort and rest. Which is enough.
Because it’s the last day of 2013, I’m sharing some of my favorites from this year. Maybe you remember them, maybe they’re new to you. Either way I hope you’ve enjoyed this year and, in some way, this place. Thanks for being a part of my little space on the internet.
-From February: To Tell Our Stories about the overwhelming need to share who and what we are.
-March’s great idea of one piece, five ways. I need to do this again…
-This one gets me every time: Two by Two, My Daughters.
–Basketball and Lace gets a lot of Pinterest pins. I learned some hard lessons coaching girls’ basketball this year.
-In April I reconnected with a group of friends from high school. These Keepers of My Memories started First Thursdays and it’s been a new favorite.
-My baby daddy and what he meant to say.
–Let’s talk about sex, bay-bee.
–Celebrating three years of being clean.
-Remember that time I got pooped and puked on by a middle schooler? Probably not one of my favorite moments, but it made such a fun story (for other people…).
-This year, I finally realized how strong I am: on a bike ride.
-Things got real with my shit and yours.
-And my favorite time of the year: family picture day.
Hope your new year is smashing!
Love, Mary
