I love a good young adult novel that keeps me up all night.
Dangerous Lies by Becca Fitzpatrick did that. The book centers on eighteen-year-old Stella who witnesses her mother’s drug dealer kill someone and agrees to testify against him. But now she’s being sent from Philadelphia where she led a privileged life to the middle of Nebraska to be kept safe from the drug dealer’s men.
Of course, she doesn’t want to go. Once there, secrets start to come out that put her in danger, a boy appears that seems to good to be true, and Stella has to decide what kind of life she really wants to live.
Dangerous Lies by Becca Fitzpatrick isn’t life-changing YA fiction, it’s just fun and exciting. A great book to miss sleep with.
