What a waste of time.
Ugh, I just dislike science fiction so much. I’m sorry if it’s your think–it’s just not mine and reading this book felt disjointed and so unrealistic it was painful for me.
All the Birds in the Sky by Charlie Jane Anders has a pretty cover and the excerpt didn’t sound too bad so I borrowed it from the library. Except it was horrible and it took until around page 150 for me to care about the characters and even then I wasn’t really sure what I was reading. It was too magical and fanciful and random science wormhole-ish for me.
I’m sorry, I hated it. It was torturous to read and the only reason I didn’t quit it was because I had just stopped reading (listening, really) to Wildflower by Drew Barrymore and it was so awfully written that I just had to quit it. Stopping two books in the same week was too much for me to handle. I can count on one hand the number of books I’ve quit so I just had to see All the Birds in the Sky through. UGH.
