I’m not normally drawn to mystery stories. My husband loves them and reads them often, but I’d rather read other things
I’m actually not sure why I picked up The Last Good Girl by Allison Loetta at my local library, but I think it ended up on the new-book display and it caught my eye.
The Last Good Girl is about a college freshman who goes missing after making a claim against a fellow student (who happens to be the governor’ son) of raping her at a party. As the story unfolds, you learn about the date rape epidemic on college campuses, the way our educational system is failing to keep girls safe, and the politics behind date rape statistic.
I read this book last fall and it felt timely and relevant to be reading it as so many things unfolded in our world. The Last Good Girl by Allison Loetta was well written and well researched. It was interesting to read and also brought up larger social issues that need our attention.
