This year I didn’t write much.
I don’t know why that is. I’m supposed to be writing a book proposal that I’ve been ignoring for more than a year. Last year, I changed to a work-from-home job that I assumed would leave me more time for writing, but that didn’t happen.
2016 was a lazy writing year for me. I regret that a lot . That might be my only regret from this past year–that I got complacent in my writing. I didn’t make it a priority. While I didn’t miss any deadlines and my freelance writing was consistent, my writing here fell off the to-do list more times than I’d like to admit. When I don’t have to write, I didn’t.
This month I kicked my own butt and got back to consistently writing, and I’m pretty committed to making 2017 better. In the meantime, here are my favorite posts from 2016:
19 ways to journal through your quiet time
I did a thing no one else has ever done before
When I Forrest Gumped a half marathon
I can’t compete with you anymore
Six Years Out: Our Addiction Story (this whole series, actually)
Advice From Someone Who Knows Nothing About Marriage
Did I miss one of your favorites? I mean, besides everything i write, obviously. *humble*
Redemption Baby is probably my favorite you’ve written this year. The acknowledgement of God’s work that we don’t notice at the time is a beautiful thing!
I also enjoyed the money series and the posts on traveling in Betsy Ross.
I wanted to include Betsy Ross stuff in my list, but I didn’t–so thanks for the encouragement. She was feeling lonely. haha
