a serious fashion moment.

(vintage dress: thrifted, sweater: Old Navy, necklace: c/o Lisa Leonard Designs, tights: Kohls, boots: Target)
I just feel like we need to talk about this dress.
I thrifted it on my therapeutic dinner/shopping date with my friend Krissy.  It was only $4 and pure silk.  I bought it, had it dry-cleaned for $5.26, and then wore it to school one day.
The same student who told me I was a Maxxanista and might have written a whole five-paragraph essay about wanting to put me in a time capsule and bury me under the school so kids in one hundred years can see how fashionable we were, told me I looked nice in my dress.
It then got my 4th period students started on critiquing my outfit choices for the week.  Forget theme or past participles, they decided my clothing needed to be discussed.
What the hell.
As I tried to get them back on track, I had, for a fleeting moment, the idea to take my sweater off and show them the rest of this dress.
Because it is magical.
And it would have shut them up instantly.
Chris saw me trying it on after it was dry cleaned and said I looked like Mimi from The Drew Carey Show.  I was obviously flattered by this comparison and so I decided to wear the dress the following day.
And because I am nothing but a serious blogger with a great eye for style, let me introduce to you the sleeves of the Mimi dress (as well as a little nip slip slip):
Breathtaking, am I right?
How that red sweater was able to hold those bad boys in all day is beyond me.
