It’s definitely chilly here in the mornings now. I put on an extra layer to head outside and I’m not ashamed to say I’ve used the heat in my minivan a lot in the past week. By the afternoon it’s warm and sunny, but fall weather is pushing its way in and summer is slowly leaving us.
I love a season change, the expectation of a new one and the memories of the passing. This summer was unexpected and wonderful and a blur. I’m hoping fall is slower, quieter.
Here’s one more summer outfit if it’s still warm where you are.
The autumn leaves blew over the moonlit pavement in such a way as to make the girl who was moving there seem fixed to a sliding walk, letting the motion of the wind and the leaves carry her forward. […] The trees overhead made a great sound of letting down their dry rain.
-Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
