ode to my garage door

(dress: Kohls [first seen here], sweater: thrifted, shoes: TJ Maxx, belt: Old Navy, necklace: I have no idea)
We’re getting a new garage door today.
It’s a little bittersweet since I’ve used it as a background for so many pictures (my very first what-I-wore post!), but never wanted to admit that it was my garage door.  Because it was looking pretty sad.
So after living in fear of it collapsing on our cars at any moment, today is the big day.
If I was livin’ the dream, we’d be getting a new door with little windows on top because that is what I envisioned.  Until the garage door estimate guy came and told me how much a garage door costs and that those stupid little windows bump the cost up 40%.  So no windows for us.
But still a new door.  And a new opener.  And two remotes.

Isn’t it silly the things we get excited about as adults? I had to buy a new vacuum the other day and I’m STILL giddy about it 🙂

I really like that sweater, it looks super comfy and really cute!

    Enjoy your new door 🙂

Found your blog from EBEW. Your striped cardi is so cute! Congrats on the new garage, even though you don’t get the windows 🙂 I’m follower #150!

Ha ha! Garage doors are so expensive! I would love a new one with a working opener, but not happening anytime soon 🙂 Super cute outfit, especially loving those shoes. Heather

Cute outfit. I think the colors go really well together. I would not think to match them up. Stopping by from The Pleated Poppy.
