I feel so invested in the Archangel Prophecies. Maybe it’s because I think the author, Monica McGurk, is a really good storyteller or it might be the mix of young adult action/romance combined with social justice, but I thoroughly enjoyed reading the final book in the series, Dark Before Dawn.
Dark Before Dawn wraps up the story of Hope, now twenty-something lawyer, and Michael, the head of God’s army of angels. Human and angel love affair while simultaneously fighting human trafficking and exploited girls?
So much drama.
After I finished the second book, Dark Rising, I might have tweeted McGurk some “helpful” suggestions for the ending. I am a hopeless romantic, and I was SERIOUSLY concerned Hope and Michael couldn’t make it work.
I mean, it is an angel and a human for goodness sake. There are some obstacles.
Dark Before Dawn by Monica McGurk kept me on the edge of my seat. People die. People disappear. People fight. I was so worried about things. I was so worried about people.
But the ending–dramatic sigh–the ending.
Okay, read it and then email me so we can discuss.
