weekend read: Design Mom

I’ve been wanting Design Mom’s new book since it came out, but hesitated to spend the money on it because what if it was everything I already know or can find on Pinterest? The internet makes buying design books very unappealing so I was glad to find it at the library and check it out.

Once I started reading Design Mom by Gabrielle Stanley Blair, I found so many great, new ideas. The pictures were beautiful and inspiring. Plus, she lives with the philosophy that I love so much which is less is more. She encourages readers to be mindful of the things we bring into our home because they will not only reflect us, but they will become us.

Half way through the book I was adding a Post-It note to every other page and admitted that I just needed to get the book. So it’s on my Christmas list and I have a whole page of house-notes waiting to come to life.

Have you checked this Design Mom‘s book out yet? Also, do you want to buy it for me? Just a thought.
