My first foray into a Jen Hatmaker book was really fun. I know that is probably weird that I’m just now reading her, but I tend to be a little slow on the uptake. I’ve made my peace with it.
For the Love by Jen Hatmaker was thoughtful and funny. I love that she can seamlessly transition from serious topics like mission work and how the church is failing our world to irreverent talk about yoga pants and Facebook. She knows when to take a point deeper and when to make fun of it.
I loved For the Love. That sounds cliched, but that’s all I’ve got. I liked that the chapters were stand-alone essays so you could read a few and then not pick it up for a few days (that’s how I read non-fiction as opposed to speed-reading fiction). This is one you’ll want to read every few years because it’s that enjoyable.
