weekend read: Red Queen

What I’ve been needing was a good young adult dystopian series to get lost in. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard fit the bill perfectly.

In Norta, there are two classes: the Silvers who are born with special powers, silver blood, and privilege and the Reds with their red blood who are their servants, warriors, and barely tolerated. When the Reds finally start to rebel, the Silvers respond with death, destruction, and lies. But with the Scarlet Guard working behind the scenes and Reds who have started mutating with powers of their own, the Silvers time in power might be coming to an end.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

I loved Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard–I’m assuming this is a trilogy like any good YA dystopian story is. Glass Sword is up next and I can’t wait to see where this story and the characters go next.
